Bio
Barbara is a Principal of CAP STRAT.
In addition to her role as Chief Compliance Officer, she cultivates awareness and business opportunities for the firm. Barbara also co-leads the CAP STRAT Women’s Forum, a community of empowered women working together to achieve personal, professional, and financial success. Barbara previously led the firm’s institutional relationship management and DC plan consulting.
Barbara is recognized as one of Chicago’s Most Influential Women by the Chicago Business Journal, Rotary International Woman of the Year, and Amity School Children’s Aid Outstanding Citizen for her broad personal and professional support of others, her community service and leadership. In addition to her past leadership roles chairing and serving on non-profit boards, Barbara is currently on the board and Secretary of Housing Forward, on the board of Chicago Finance Exchange, and the Chicago advisory board of CareerSpring, and is an active member of the International Women’s Forum and Women Leaders in Philanthropy.
Barbara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from Boston College and studied at both the London School of Economics and the Faculte des Lettres in France. She has also received a Business Certificate in Finance from the Professional Program of New York University, and both Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and PLANSPONSOR Retirement Professional (PRP) designations.
